Thanks, Hun!
I've noticed a trend here in Northern New York and I am not happy with it. Everytime I buy anything, the cashier says "Thanks, Hun!" It happens all the time, but today in Wal-Mart I hit the breaking point. My cashier was no more than 17 years old. As I paid for my purchases, she hands me my reciept and says "Thanks, Hun!" Ummm....excuse me? Who are you calling "Hun"? Seriously. I think it is disrespectful. So, to all you cashiers out there, just give me my change and my reciept; don't give me a pet name. Thanks, HUN!

I could not agree more sister. Here in Texas is either "darlin" or "baby".....all the bloody time. But its not just the cashiers that do it. It's bankers, hairdressers, waitresses....well you get the idea. So, yeah, I totally feel your pain.
"Baby"?? Really? Whatever happened to Miss or Ma'am?
No, dude....seriously, it's always...."Thank you, baby" WTH is up with that? I seriously want to slap people when they say that.
Around here we get "Thanks sweetie!" "Thanks sweetheart!" The first time I heard some teenage boy at Sonic say that to me I about smashed his face. DISRESPECT it thought. Later that night my husband called a neighbour that, I immediately called him on it and the neighbour just laughed saing he is turning into a country bumkin from Oklahoma. LOL
Wow, I've never heard any of those before. When people call me "Ma'am" I feel like I'm in the old west and should respond with "Mah hero!", but that's about as strong as it gets.
