Every week, Husband and I watch American Idol. Both of us are completely creeped out by Adam. Husband has stated that he feels like Adam is undressing him with his eyes. Imagine our excitement when Adam ended up in the bottom three tonight! With Husband shrilling like an eight year old girl, we couldn't get through the show fast enough. Thank goodness for DVR and a fast-forward button.
We suffer through the musical numbers and dumb conversation between Seacrest and the judges. With the bottom three sequestered backstage, and Natalie Cole singing, we hit the fast-forward button. (What is with all the commercials?)
I love how they are bringing back all the past Idol winners. I am sure it is the first time in a long time that some of them have performed in front a crowd that isn't found at a county fair!
Seacrest is sending one person back to safety...I say it's Kris. We have to leave Adam up there for the drama. Turns out I was right. Now, there's a 50% chance Adam will be going home, but a 100% chance in Husband's heart!
With our heart rates up, we fast-forward through yet another commercial and Jamie Foxx's performance (Sorry Jamie). Husband is fidgeting on the couch next to me. It's making me a bit nauseous! Seacrest chats with Jamie and he shares his opinion. We hit the fast-forward button yet again (have I mentioned how much I love our DVR? An hour long episode of American Idol turns into about 20 minutes of actual viewing time!). Who cares what he has to say when there is a chance that Adam will be gone?
Now, another commercial and then back to the stage. Seriously! How long can they drag this thing out? We are dying here! I am actually starting to sweat. In my head I am chanting "Send Adam home! Send Adam home!", although I seriously doubt Adam will go. There are plenty of people out there who love this guy (they are all sick, twisted people and that includes my dear friend Erin!). The lights dim, my heart is racing. Husband tenses up.
Dang it! Looks like Husband will be undressed by Adam for at least another week. He better dress in layers!

I so agree with Ryan, there is something definitely sketchy about Adam, but I gotta give him his due- the boy's got pipes! I do look forward to his performances, just cause I know they'll be so over-the-top... and hey they're definitely entertaining!
haha, so funny. I sort of have a love/hate relationship with Adam (at least, that's what I told him when he called last week....), I think he's weird and creepy-ish, and also a little too bi polar, like are you a rocker/punk, or a super sweet guy who looks all innocent when the judgments are being done?? All in all, I think he'll be there til the end, and I love that you love American Idol as much as me and I can talk to someone about it who just "get's it"...
HA HA!
CS: Adam can sing. He has "mad vocals" to quote Randy! He is entertaining.
J: Unfortunately I think you are right. Adam will be one of the last two. Does he look like KD Lang to you?
K: Glad I could entertain you!
Oh how you crack me up!!
I have missed the wholes season of American Idol, and miss all the drama and the one that always stays but SHOULD go home. Wish I had a DVR for things like that! Next year!
Thanks for sharing some of the drama!
Hey now.....even I admitted that Adam wasn't on his game this week. And yes, he is creepy looking and yes he has some weird punk/emo androgynous thing going on.....but you can't take away from him the fact that he is immensely talented and thoroughly entertaining. And I agree with Ryan that he has some creepy looks to him where you aren't sure he wants to undress you or eat you up like Hannibal Lechter.
